Château Mouton Rothschild Shines in Gourmet Gala at Caravelle Saigon

Kicking 2015 off with elegance & style, one of the world’s finest wineries comes to Saigon, as Caravelle hosts the renowned Château Mouton Rothschild in a six-course wine dinner on 3rd February.

Wine connoisseurs and gourmands are invited to join this one-night event at Reflections Fine Dining, starring seven wines from the Mouton vineyards in Medoc, France.

A member of France’s Primum Familiae Vini, a select group representing 11 original family-owned wineries, the rich heritage of Château Mouton Rothschild is reflected in its powerful, elegant wines. Artists such as Salvador Dali, Francis Bacon and Picasso have designed labels for the 162-year-old wine estate, which boasts vineyards dating back to the Roman times.

The upcoming wine dinner at Reflections Fine Dining will feature Le Petit Mouton de Mouton Rothschild and the Premier Cru winery’s namesake, Château Mouton Rothschild, both from 2007. Diners will also have the chance to sample Almaviva, a special blend created in partnership with the Concha y Toro winery in Chile’s Maipo Valley.

Hosted by Mr. Erwan Le Brozec, Export Manager of Baron Philippe de Rothschild Wines, the evening begins at 7”pm with a welcome aperitif (Juan, which is your preference) of Mouton Cadet Blanc. Paired with the world-class wines on show, is a prix fixe menu executed by Reflections’ Head Chef Darren Watson. The meal opens with a first course of barbecue duck risotto with beetroot and herb oil, and finishes with roast pineapple tart tatin with coconut and Malibu ice-cream.

The Château Mouton Rothschild Wine Dinner at Caravelle Saigon is yours for VND 6,150,000 nett per person.
